Dining room

Wow, two posts in one day??? LOL! I just couldn't wait to share this soooo I guess two posts in one day it is! I've really been struggling to find just the right elements to finish our dining room in. It's been exciting decorating our house, but I couldn't find a painting large enough that matched the green in our dining room, but holy cow did I hit the jackpot today! It all started while we were grocery shopping and I saw a palm tree plant that I loved and it was really cheap. So we went ahead and got it. Well after we got the groceries home and put away I wanted to go look for a different pot to put the plant in. So we go to the hardware store and they didn't have what I wanted so we stopped by Big Lots. I rarely go there but we saw a section that had some great decorating items in green. I picked up a cute bowl that I thought would be perfect for a centerpiece on the table. And then Jim saw some paintings. They were just PERFECT! The green is perfect, the style is exactly what I'd been looking for, the frame was perfect, the other colors in them matched the other item we have in the dining room...it was just meant to be! They had two different ones so we bought both. I was so excited. So then we had to go to Pier 1 to try and find something to put inside the bowl I bought for the table. I found the perfect balls to go in it and since I still had a gift card from a housewarming gift, they were free! Yahoo! We ended up at Home Depot where I found a pot that I liked....so we get back home, put it all together, and OH MY GOODNESS it all came together PERFECT! I still can't believe how great it all looks! Anyways, here's some pictures! The only thing left is to get new blinds. I found some wood blinds on Overstock.com that I'm going to get but it's going to be another month or so since our decorating budget for August is gone now with all of the great purchases from today (LOL!!). Anyways, it will feel great to have one room completely done! Let me know what you think!

We need to move the piano down so it's centered on the metal wall art on the left wall. I got that at Kohl's right after we bought the house.
