Whew, it's been a crazy week. :) We decided on Monday (I think that was the day) to get a new tv. We'd been talking about it for awhile now, but just hadn't done it. We were old school and still had a CRT tv that was pretty small. Sooooo we decided if we're gonna do it, might as well do it right! We got a Panasonic 50" plasma tv and holy moly...what a difference! I'm loving those HD channels and hockey is sweeeeeeeet on the big screen. :) So then on Tuesday my Dad came into town. And it's always nice when he goes through and is able to stop. Umm...can't remember much else from the week except on Sunday we went to Kansas City. The original idea was for Jim to get some ice skating in before his adult league starts this week. We were supposed to meet some friends for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory (sooooo not on my diet!!! but soooooo yummy!!!) but they stood us up. ha ha ha. So we ate, then Jim had to buy some more hockey equipment and then we went to Circuit City because we had this bright idea that it was about time to buy a new digital camera. We've had ours since 2005 I think and figured we should upgrade (what's with all the upgrades this week? sheesh). Circuit City happened to have the one we wanted for about $50 less than anywhere else...of course the store we went to didn't have it in stock so we had to drive to another store a ways away but we finally got it. We love it...so far. Too many cool things to figure out all at once though. lol. So this morning we went golfing and tonight we have...yes....FINALLY...the first hockey game for the Roadrunners. Well, technically it's a scrimmage, but I don't care! I CAN'T WAIT! Ugh, it's been a long summer without hockey. And the re-runs of old playoffs on The Hockey Network just isn't cutting it (even in HD). So yay! Can't wait...less than 4 hours.

I think I mentioned this...but Jim starts playing in the adult hockey league this week. I think their first practice session is Wednesday. And they have games Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the rest of the year. He's excited but a little nervous I think. I think he's worried he'll be the worst skater out there. :) I'm trying to get a cheering section together for him...he thinks we're just coming to laugh at him. ha ha ha. Anyways, a few people have asked how school is going. It started this past week. So far, so good but we're not into much yet. I'm taking 15 hours this semester...which is a lot especially since I've been out of school for awhile! Just takes some dedication I guess. I'll be fine though. I'm taking Ethics in the Business & Professions, Marketing something or another, Leadership, Business Communication & Bioethics.

I was hoping to get some more scrapping done this weekend but didn't get around to it. Oh well...Hopefully I'll get some more pages done soon. And stay tuned, I'm working on a new blog header! :) Anyways, I can't sign off without sharing some pics, so here you go! Tired of dog pics yet???? LOL

Oh, one more thing! The countdown is on! 27 days until we go to Orlando! Jim's work is sending him there for a conference and so I figured it was my duty, as his wife, to go along also and make sure he gets there safely...that he has fun during his downtime, doesn't drown, etc. Sounds good, right???? LOL His conference is Wednesday through Friday, so we're headed there a few days early to have some fun! We're flying out on Sunday and fly back on Friday. Since our hotel is paid for Tuesday-Friday and Jim's flight and meals are paid for by his work...doesn't make sense not to make a vaca out of it, huh? Anyways, the hotel is on the Universal Studios resort...SWEET! So on Sunday we're going to go to the ocean (we land around 11am I think) and then Monday and Tuesday will be spent at Universal Studios and ummm...I can't remember their park that has the roller coasters. Whatever that is. We'll be surrounded by computer geeks because of the conference, but hey, who cares. LOL Then when Jim is in his conference, my plan is to park my rear by the pool and get a niiiiiiice tan. Not as exciting as Hawaii, but neither of us has been to Florida so we're pretty excited anyways!

Jim didn't take any (appropriate) pics of me when we were golfing. What a DB.
