Ummm...not a whole lot since then. We relaxed this weekend and are just getting ready for my Mom and Chase's visit. I'm so excited for them to come out! We've got a ton of stuff planned (Royals game, ice skating, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, etc.) so it will be great. And Chase is uber-excited too. As is my Mom. They fly to KC on the 10th, so just 5 more days!
Ohhh poor Hunter...he's our Irish Setter...in May (the end of May) he started coughing. So I took him to the vet after a week or so. They gave him an antibiotic & anti-inflammatory shot. Two weeks went by and he still wasn't getting better. So I took him back to the vet on June 17th. Gave him another shot and some antibiotic pills to take. The vet said he thought it was probably some respiratory infection or something. Well he has still been coughing some and we were talking about taking him back to the vet. A week or two ago I saw one of his eyes looked funny...it was all red, not the white around the eye, but the actual eye. You can't even hardly see the iris. I told Jim it looked like there was blood in his eye. But after a day or so it went away so I didn't think anything of it. And then on Friday Jim saw some spots of blood on the floor, but didn't actually see Hunter cough so we weren't for sure if that was from him. Well last night he had a really bad coughing fit...we get up this morning and there was quite a bit of blood on the floor...three different spots and his eye is red again! Of course, I didn't get to calling the vet until after noon when they close so we had to take Hunter to the emergency animal clinic. Ugh. Talk about expensive. They wanted to run some tests ($300) or give him some cough suppresants to hold him over until Monday when we can take him to our regular vet. So we chose the cough suppresants because if I'm going to drop $300 on Hunter, it's at least going to be at our regular vet! He's just not himself though...doesn't want to play, lays around, etc. Poor thing. Here's a picture of his eye...look at the right one! It's eerie! They said it is blood in his eye and that he might be coughing so much that it's breaking a blood vessel. Sheesh. She thinks he might possibly be anemic.

So we'll have to take him in on Monday and get that straightened out. Oh! Got the letter today that our personalized tags are in! YAY! We decided to pay the extra fee this year and get personalized tags. Took over a month to come in! But we're excited. They are: REDWNGS & RDWINGS. Homage to our team. :) And on that note...Marian Hossa is a Wing! WHAT?! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! We read that the Wings signed him this week and that is AWESOME. We are going to have a kick-ass top 6 this year as well as our amazing D. Can we say Stanley #12 in 09??? I sure hope so.
Alright, well I'm off for now. Hopefully someone is reading this. :)
